Payton M. Phillips
Vice President, Brokerage & Advisory
Payton Phillips joined TexStone in 2024 as a Vice President, Brokerage & Advisory, bringing a strong focus on land-use, entitlements, and site strategy. A Dallas native, he earned his B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Arkansas, concentrating on Financial Management and Investments.
Before joining TexStone, Payton explored a range of interests across entrepreneurship and hospitality. While still in college, he founded MJ Phillips Holdings Ltd., a land holdings company in Denton County established in honor of his late grandmother, Mary Jo Phillips. The company works in partnership with leading energy firms such as ExxonMobil and BP to manage mineral assets and facilitate resource extraction.
As MJ Phillips Holdings became more self-sustaining, Payton turned his attention to another passion - cooking. He joined the team at The Meat Shop in Dallas, gaining firsthand experience in restaurant operations and culinary execution.
Today, Payton leverages his diverse background and entrepreneurial mindset to support clients navigating the complexities of land acquisition. He lives in Dallas with his wife, Kaki, and their dog, Bee.
